Jiang Meets Rio Tinto chief, New B20 Taskforce Co-chair

Jiang Zengwei, Chair of B20 China and Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, met with Sam Walsh, Co-chair of the B20 Infrastructure Taskforce and Chief Executive of Rio Tinto, and the group’s Deputy Chief Executive Jean-Sebastien Jacques, in Beijing on June 7.


Jiang briefed the guests on B20 China’s visions and goals, latest developments and expected achievements. He and Walsh also discussed the B20’s role and relationship with the G20.

Jiang expressed his gratitude for Walsh’s full support of the B20. He also congratulated Jacques on his appointment as the next chief executive of Rio Tinto and new co-chair of the Infrastructure Taskforce, and invited him to make renewed contributions to the B20.

Chen Zhengrong, Secretary-General of B20 China, and Chang Yun, assistant to B20 Sherpa, were also present at the meeting.
